This roof top mounted air conditioner available in 74V dc - 400V ac or Hydraulic is designed to cool heavy duty applications operators and passenger cabs and electrical cabinets on all kind of rail way / rolling stock vehicles such as Tram, Metro, and Locomotives such as EMD, GE, NRE, CAF, Bombardier, or Siemens powered by 74V dc - 400V ac or Hydraulic. 

There are no expensive converters needed to run completely on 74V dc - 400V ac or Hydraulic


The robust housing is made of powder coated  stainless steel  (optional zinc plated steel) The premium PLC controller shows all settings and fault codes on a display. Switches and display are in the air outlet grill ceiling  plate. Optional on the drivers desk.


The very efficient air conditioner combines a very low consumption with a high cooling output. The cooling duty of this  unit is much higher than a normal air conditioner and there is no power surge during start up (soft start).

The unit is easy to be installed on new and existing appliances. The roof needs to be flat!

Optional we can provide 3 kW of electric heating for the 400 VAC and 74 VDC version.

In the hydraulic version  max 1,5 kW on 24 VDC.


The optional fresh air can be preheated or precooled before entering the cab. The fresh air intake is a small module with G3 filter that can be placed in or outside the locomotive on an  location with easy access. Preferably the air room of the engine. For dirty / dusty environment  the unit can be delivered with an overpressure system according to ISO 10263.

Cooling duty varies on climatic conditions and altitude- consult factory for specific applications. Next to the 400 VAC or 74 VDC or Hydraulic power for the compressor the unit needs 20 amps 24 VDC from the vehicle to power the PLC and fans.
