Solar Powered Pump Station Cooling for ADNOC

Abu Dhabi, UAE – A new solar powered pump station for ADNOC has been successfully equipped with a high efficiency dc cooling solution to ensure reliable operation of electrical and control equipment under extreme desert conditions. The installation uses the DC Airco DC12500 (24–48 Vdc) wall mounted air conditioner, specifically designed for remote, off grid applications. Fully dc powered, the system connects directly to the site’s solar battery supply, eliminating the need for inverters while delivering high cooling performance with low energy consumption.

Engineered to operate in ambient temperatures of up to 55°C, the unit protects critical pump station equipment from overheating, sand, and continuous solar exposure. Its compact, all in one outdoor design enables quick installation and reliable long term operation in harsh environments. This project supports ADNOC’s focus on sustainability, energy efficiency, and operational reliability, demonstrating how DC powered cooling technology enables resilient infrastructure in remote and demanding locations.
