Defence Surveillance Vehicle Cooling for Border Control Operations
A military, non lethal surveillance vehicle deployed for border control and security monitoring has been equipped with a robust dc powered air conditioning system, ensuring reliable operation in hot and harsh environments with ambient temperatures reaching up to 54°C. The vehicle is fitted with three DC Airco DC9200 (24 Vdc) split air conditioning units, operating together as a coordinated cooling group. The system provides effective climate control for sensitive surveillance, communication, and command equipment, while also maintaining a safe and controlled working environment for onboard operators.
Specifically designed for demanding defence and security applications, the fully dc powered DC9200 units deliver high cooling performance with low energy consumption and soft start technology. Integrated PLC diagnostics support continuous monitoring and reliable operation during extended missions in extreme heat, dust, and remote border regions.
The use of multiple air conditioning units working in parallel provides redundancy, load sharing, and enhanced system resilience, supporting mission availability for non lethal military surveillance and situational awareness operations. This solution ensures long term equipment protection and operator effectiveness under some of the most challenging climatic conditions.
