BTS Shelter Cooling Solution for Saudi Aramco

Saudi Arabia – A remote Base Transceiver Station (BTS) Shelter supporting GSM telecommunications for Saudi Aramco has been successfully equipped with a high efficiency dc powered cooling system, ensuring reliable network operation in extreme desert conditions.

The shelter is cooled using the DC Airco DC12500 (24–48 Vdc) wall mounted air conditioner, specifically designed for telecom and off grid applications. Fully dc powered, the unit connects directly to the site’s power system, delivering stable cooling performance without inverter losses.

Engineered for harsh environments, the air conditioner provides dependable operation at ambient temperatures of up to 52°C, protecting sensitive BTS and transmission equipment from heat, dust, and continuous solar exposure. Its compact, all in one outdoor design allows fast installation and low maintenance operation at unattended telecom sites.

This project supports Saudi Aramco’s requirements for high availability, energy efficiency, and long term reliability of critical telecommunication infrastructure.
