DC 8000 Split unit
800018005 80038002

DC Airco type 8000 is developed with J.W.J. Rumping and Sons, The Netherlands.
On there recust we developed the first dc Airco split unit to cool the truck cab.

Intensive testing in 2003 and 2004 with 7 units mounted on 7 trucks owned by J.W.J Rumping and sons, showed very good results.
The 7 trucks are DAF/Paccar 95XF Super space trucks used to transport Airfreight from Amsterdam Airport to several destinations in southern Europe.

The trucks have two drivers and drive during the night.
Sleeping during the day in Spain with two drivers in temperatures of 36°C (97°F) has not been a problem.
Also starting on the normal batteries after 9 hours rest has not been a problem in last year.

Most drivers are using the dc 8000 also while driving to save fuel.
Savings up to 10% while driving has been reported.
During rest the saving is 3,8 litre/ 1 gallon.

In 2005 and 2007 Rumping ordered more DC 8000 for the new trucks (also the DAF 105XF)
