DC Airco type 8000 is developed with J.W.J. Rumping and Sons, The Netherlands.
On there recust we developed the first dc Airco split unit to cool the truck cab.

Intensive testing in 2003 and 2004 with 7 units mounted on DAF/Paccar 95XF Super space trucks,
used to transport Airfreight from Amsterdam Airport to several destinations in southern Europe.

The trucks have two drivers and drive during the night.
Sleeping during the day in Spain with two drivers in temperatures of 36°C (97°F) has not been a problem.
Also starting on the normal batteries after 9 hours rest has not been a problem in last year.

Most drivers are using the dc 8000 also while driving to save fuel. Savings up to 10% while driving has been reported.
During rest the saving is 3,8 litre/ 1 gallon.

In 2005 and 2007 Rumping ordered more DC 8000 for the new trucks (also the DAF 95XF)

Telecom shelters,

DC Airco telecom products are availably in 24 and 48 vdc.
The first product in this series was developed to work in case of a power black out.
Now a days there are sites where the operator removes the normal grid air conditioners and replace them with
DC 10000’s because of its low total energy consumption and its ability to work from the battery bank.
In other cases the site is turned into a solar/wind energy driven site.
To save 50% fuel and reduce running hours of the generators the 230/115 volt driven Air conditioners are replaced by the dc 10.000.

DC 10000

DC Airco type 10000 is designed specially to cool telecom shelters and other enclosures  in remote area’s
Introduced in 2001 to work as a back up system when the grid has a power failure.
It is nowe days used in different settings, as fuel saver on generator driven cell sites, with solar and wind energy,
or as energy saver and back up system sites with a normal 230/115 volt AC grid connection.
This product is used in parts of Africa, southern Europe, and the Caribbean islands at temperatures till 45 degrees Celsius (113°F)

in the same applications as the DC 10.000.
It ability to work for 6 hours continuity on 52°C and still be able to make 4 restarts at
55°C makes it very useable in Middle East and other hot climates.
