Train operator cabs and saloons
We assist our customers to achieve the cooling they need. Our low power -high output units are compact and can be installed on both new and existing trains to enhance Driver Safety and passenger Comfort. Please see this link for the brochure.
DC Airco develops and design also custom build DC driven air conditioners in medium size series. With 50 units or more in one production run it is possible to make a custom made unit.
Energy consumption only one-third of a normal air conditioning unit-there fore no expensive alterations to the train’s electrical system no invertors/convertors needed.
• No power surge during start up- soft start • Custom made and off the shelf units • Easy installation – packaged roof units or under frame split units with self sealing couplings pre charged with inflammable energy efficient refrigerant R 134A. • Factory tested • Long service intervals • 2 year warranty – all parts are long life
Unique technology
Originally designed to make air conditioning powered by solar modules,
the units have been adapted for use in heavy duty applications running from batteries or grid power.
DC Airco products are designed to cool railway vehicles with only a fraction of the consumption of a normal AC unit. This system is extremely efficient and powerful.
Both compressor and fans are soft start, therefore no
extreme power surges during start-up.
Easy of installation
DC Airco is manufacturing rooftop, wall mount or split units.
The rooftop and wall mount units are packaged units fully charged and tested in the factory. The split units consist of a compact under frame
condenser/compressor unit and one or more indoor evaporator units which are
connected with self sealing couplings.
These connectors can be connected and disconnected many times.
All products have alarms for high temperature, low and high gas pressure.
Remote monitoring is available as a option.
